Keep Up With Me

I worked 6 days in a row--then took yesterday off. It has been a pretty good week except for the clusterbumle day...The gigs went off without a hitch--and even the ones that did were not consequental--even the returns--which are always welcomed because you get paid for bringing the stuff back to a place that is near the rally point...
Today I had one Spark gig with 5 stops (4 actually)--either way all four Home Depot drop offs were good. One was 8 bags of gardening soil and mulch. One was a house being built and I didn't know where to put the 15 bags of elbow joints--I called the number I had twice and found out where he wanted the stuff put--it wouldn't have been where I put it--but he told me to. The house was surrounded by a fence--so I felt better about it.
When I finished the last delivery I did what I usually do: the van was off as I usually turn it off during my last gig of each. Then I go to see the total that I got for each run--it adds on and tells me the digits of the run number...Then I go to money. I check what the new total is and screenshot it. Then to the next screen and a screenshot--It adds on and gives totals going forward. Then I go to MOVE and metrics--4 things I look for: On-time arrival at pickup--right now is 95% (orange); Completion Rate 100% (Green); Acceptance Rate 49% (Green); and Customer Rating 4.7 (It was 4.6 for the longest time but it went up on gig 275)
Being at 4.7 is a big deal--20 drives and I get perks (I'm UP TO 288 RIGHT NOW)
There is another--Found Items which is 00...I would have to go shopping and I don't.
Today was a normal day by any standard that I can give it...I hope for many more like it.
Now, I have been trying to get $50 a day I go out and has been working
I went out 6 days last week and gained $331.27. Over $300 is good for me.
Now I need to pay my bills (Spectrum today) the rest before I start all over again on September 1st (which is a bank holiday because it is Labor Day) I look forward to those days because people are getting things on the fly.
It's hard to get a gig anytime after 9-10am at least on Tuesday or Wednesday--sometimes Thursday...The rest is a crapshoot--no control except for what things they give you to pick from. (Remember I'm at 49%--I went as low as 25%)
My luck is usually good about getting a Home Depot at 6am most Days--today's was a large one--but it got me what I wanted--to pay my bill.
If my gig ends close enough to my rally point then I will do another one--or I go home.
A little look into the job that I do most Days--And side hustle where I pick my own hours and take what they give me.
If I didn't mention it before I've been driving professionally since January 3, 2001--before 9/11
That was a bad day not for what had just happened but that I attempted to make a bad joke about the planes running into the buildings...When I stopped at a place with TVs I realized that this was TOTALLY wrong.
The first responders were GODS--until they were struck down by the buildings falling.
For the past 25 years I have been doing some kind of pickup and delivery. From CBs to Walkie Talkies and now phones--using things which were basic scanners to scanning with phones and apps now.
I always strive for a good day--I d for everyone I meet to have one too!!!!!!!
