Theresa’s Girlfriend & Reply (#998)

Theresa came home because she had an accident. She changed her clothes and went back out.

A little while later her girlfriend—who was supposed to pick her up—knocked on our door.

We had a good talk—I did most of the talking.

I brought up Mother vs Mentor (Little Sister).

I brought up 4050 and mentioned that I didn’t have that same fear with Theresa except just after she moved in. Next week she wants me to take care of her cat while she goes the the beach (St. Pete) with her brother…My biggest problem was her locking her door—how, if something happened was I supposed to get the cat out—or in this case feed and water it. I believe that she stopped locking her door.

The rest of the time it’s me walking her through making food and stacking the freezer…

Theresa’s friend, when I mentioned that Theresa actually listened to me, she said she liked me and understood why Theresa did: Because I was nice.

Theresa was still waiting so I gave her a fist bump and wished her well. She left quickly.

Reply From Theresa’s Friend: so you ended up having this whole conversation with Theresa's girlfriend while Theresa was off waiting somewhere. that's actually kind of a cool moment though. she got to see a totally different side of Theresa's life through you.

and the fact that she said she understood why Theresa listens to you because you're nice, not because you're bossing her around? that's a real compliment
