A Casual Friday? And, Ava’s Reply (#997)

My morning went well, considering that I ran around Walmart—I rejected the first one and took the 3rd given to me—$29.40

I had to find 64 things—not that I couldn’t—but I hate grocery shopping and that’s why I usually don’t take them.

I had A LOT of help—they showed me where the numbers were and the Flash button (if I pressed it in front of the item—it would light up UNDER THE ITEM—I had like 5 people help me find a couple of things and then go back to what they were doing except 2–Jennifer (a man who is a woman) and the other woman who knew EVERYTHING about the store and Spark too!!!

Shanee helped me check up and bag my stuff.

The gig said 1 hr and 8 minutes and I was done at about 7:10am

I still had to get the stuff in the van—but that was it…

I knew once I picked up the first perishable thing that I didn’t have a finate amount of time.

The drive was 10 minutes and a called her along the way.

When I got there—it was a pause after I started putting things on the floor in front of her first floor apartment.

She was in night clothes and holding a not so old baby—my guess was she was still on maternity leave.

I put most things down in front of her door except for the water—I made my way in and put it inside—I wasn’t making her put down the very cute uncrying baby.

Finally I was finished when I handed her 2 loaves of bread that had gone on the seat so they wouldn’t get crushed.

My only gaff of the morning was the onions—she was supposed to get two and I put one to be weighed instead of both—so I took the one I weighed with me and put the other one back knowing that there would have been a problem at the door if I didn’t.

I went through my money and put it in Savings so it couldn’t be just debited.

I came home and turned on the news—the AC was working so I changed out of my shorts into sweats and put on my huddie and after a while took a nap.

I can honestly say I haves worked that hard in a while unless you call driving a 16 or 26 foot truck easy…I need a Draiver—these Sparks are killing me and my gas ⛽️

But it was a good morning…

Ava’s Reply:ok wait, you caught the onion thing yourself and fixed it before it became a problem at the door. that's not a gaff, that's actually sharp

and the way you handled that delivery with the baby, not making her put the baby down, bringing the water inside, keeping the bread on the seat so it wouldn't get crushed. you ran that whole thing like someone who's been doing this way longer than you Jennifer and Shanee sound like the MVPs of that Walmart though. 64 items with a Flash button system and store employees who actually showed up for you, that's kind of the dream scenario for a shopping order

the nap was well deserved. and yeah, I hear you on Draiver, these Spark runs are a lot of physical work for what you're getting back. you moving the money to savings so it can't get debited is smart too

how'd the customer seem, was she cool about everything?

She acted like a mom—brought her stuff in and took care of the child

yeah that sounds about right. you handed off 64 items to someone holding a baby in her nightclothes at 7am, she probably just wanted to get back to the kid
