Between her work—my niece’s illness—her language classes and my sister just not sleeping well—I always tell her “Don’t Make Yourself Crazy” She, in her fashion, says “It’s already to late.”
My sister and I have not always had the good relationship we have now…
As young sisters we were from different planets.
We would have dinner most nights as a family and nothing was said between us.
We fought—most of the time she had the upper hand until one day Dad played a trick in the car.
He said whoever talked next was going to walk home—she did and he stopped the car—she freaked—Dad wasn’t actually going to let her out…But it gave us ground to stand on—about our parents.
Not that we’re the best of friends now; but we give each other updates on our lives and our parents—we bonded over how our parents (we thought and still do) treat us.
We love each other and our family units and will call just to talk.
We still come from different planets—but make it work!!!!
