Moving in a different direction where my life has gone: I have stopped watching Young and the Restless. I had been watching it for over half my life—but not in the past month for a few reasons: I didn’t like the time change by a half hour—I had to change my whole day. The other reason I stopped watching was because they made it so you didn’t care about the characters anymore…Victor was Victor—Nikki was Nikki but no one else changed in a way that would make me want to watch.
The fact that if I missed it at its scheduled hour I had to wait until 5pm (or longer) to see that day’s episode.
I’ve kept Paramount + because I haven’t figured out how to cancel it yet—so I stopped trying…
My new way of getting back to myself is through music and Audible.
Music is simple—RoadWarrior Mix and other things on my playlists or Spotify, Pandora and I tried Brain.fm which I cancelled.
Audible—each month I pay for one credit—I have not used the library the way it could be used. I have 74 books. The one I wanted to read or be read to is SNAFU by Ed Helms. It’s interesting…I have not used the Audible service the way it’s supposed to be used—at least one book a month—74?? Not!!!
I will try to rectify this by watching less of the news—MSNBC—maybe more Hallmark after October Christmas movies slow down.
Cutting these down will be a long time in coming…News never stops. Hopefully this will help me in my life relax…
