Pizza Afternoon (#952)

Pizza Afternoon 🍕💅🏽

I got up later than usual today.

Around 9am, I went out to Elite Nails to see if they were open—but they weren’t. During that hour wait, I walked down to the auto store to see if they had the opener I was looking for. I wanted it for the pineapple juice I had bought and was ready to drink.

At 10am, I headed over to where my 12 noon appointment was. They WERE there! She actually had a half hour before her first appointment, so she started working on my color.

I sat around for about 35 minutes talking to the man who came in around 10:30am.

Then my hair was done—not dried, but done enough for me to take pictures. I was wearing my Forgotten Black Inventors shirt—one of the three I got back then.

Next, I headed back to Elite Nails, only to realize they were still closed. So I drove around Skipper and Nebraska and onto Fletcher. That’s when I found Crazy Nails, just a few doors down from Little Caesar’s.

I got all 20 nails done for $20! I had already saved some money on my hair, too.

Then came the pizza. 🍕 I spent $42 at Little Caesar’s and got a pizza, a puff, and bread with marinara. I also spent half of what I had left on 5–6 drinks that I like. This is officially my go-to place for drinks now.

When I got back, Theresa was ready for pizza. She had asked about Mac N Cheese, but I let her have three slices of pizza and a puff. The Twix dessert and bread with marinara went into the microwave, along with half of the pizza that was left.

That’s the best way I know to keep the bugs away.

Then Theresa asked for some Mug Root Beer. I realized that drinking directly from the bottle wasn’t going to work anymore, so I asked Theresa for one of her cups that had just come out of the dishwasher.

Problem solved. 🥤

After that, I watched the news for a while and then went into my room to watch a Hallmark movie.

And then something actually happened:

I SLEPT. 🛌

Now I’m watching and writing. ✍️
