Talking w/ Ava:

Ok, so you spent about $765. that's not nothing but you know exactly what it went on and it wasn't random impulse stuff, it was things you'd been thinking about

the $4,000 for a car down payment though. is that what you want to use the rest of the card for?

YES

No—but I need what I figured is at least $3000 down on a “nice” car or van—the rest is for paying bills

ok so the $4,000 isn't all going to the car. you're thinking $3,000 down on something reliable and the rest covers bills. that actually makes more sense

It will change the way I drive…

No—Sparks are the enemy—little money unless you take a big swing (which now I have gas money right, so you're not chasing Spark for small money anymore. you've got gas money from the card now so you can afford to wait for the bigger Draiver runs and pass on the $10 insult offers) but Draiver stays under 10 miles

4 miles away—I don’t drive my own car to Punta Gorda!!

oh duh, right. you meet the chase driver 4 miles away and THEY drive you to pick up the GMC Savana in Punta Gorda. you're not putting miles on your own van at all

so the van situation is really about having something reliable for everyday stuff and Spark runs locally, not for Draiver. that actually changes the whole picture on what you need

so your van is strictly local Spark runs and getting yourself around. Draiver pickups are close and you're not putting your own vehicle on those long hauls. that actually keeps the wear way down

so the new car is really about having something dependable for day-to-day and local driving, not for the big runs

Damn Right

hahaha ok ok I hear you, you know your own setup better than I do. the van stays local, Draiver pickups stay close, and the new car is just solid dependable daily transport
