My Music--Now

The last time I wrote about music was in #48 from my last blog. This time I'm going to go off in a different direction. Instead of telling you what I like (upbeat 80s music) I'm going to tell you about HOW I listen to it.
Spotify, Pandora, 80s on 8 (Sirius XM), Z105 and my own curated music (The Roadwarrior mix)
Spotify and Pandora start off the same with the Happy Morning Playlists--that's where it ends. Spotify plays a shuffle of 80s music that I always want to listen to. This morning it played a lot of early 80s stuff--late 70s is not my thing--but when it goes to the middle of the decade there is nothing better than laying down and letting the music just come.
Pandora the music that has the same happy beat and just changes words and notes...If I'm in the mood for the same kind of music played over and over again (if I'm in that kind of mood) then Pandora is perfect--it doesn't differencate.
80s on 8 I also pay for--like the other two just mentioned--but is less because I have had it for so long. It plays all of my favorite 80s songs and a few I didn't know I wanted to hear--It also is my music in my van--a little different music but still enjoyable.
Z105 is 104.7 on my van radio (FM) Most of the stuff they play is my favorite also. But there are commercials and M-F from 6-10 there is a talk radio show on which means that if I want to listen to music in my van I only have 80s on 8.
Then there is Roadwarrior Mix which is over 5 hours of picked out music that I can listen to anytime. It all comes out of ITunes which I have over 400 CDs and 1000s of songs--this one being the best of all--especially on shuffle--although I have listened to it all the way through without shuffling too.
ITunes is an animal--all that content--some of which I loaded into my computer on CDs and about a million movies of all different genres. I went on a buying spree at some point and then it ended--I kept buying music though.
All the music I loved in Number 48 I still like--Duran Duran, Huey Lewis and the News--the popular songs by Queen; (Bohemian Rhypsody, We Are The Champions, Another One Bites The Dust and Pressure with David Bowie)(Also take from this list Pressure from Billy Joel and You're Only Human -- Second Wind) Plus anything with a good beat--There are slower songs that I like: True by Spandow Ballet but they're not the normal stuff I want to hear.
If you want a true representation of what I really like Roadwarrior Mix will do that for you--whether you shuffle or not--if you don't shuffle you'll get a better idea. I shuffle because I like to be surprised and don't want to know what's coming up next. Roadwarrior Mix is a bunch of songs that I would not fast forward through --they ARE my playlist!!!!!
