Dry Runs & Payments (#899)

July 7th had a dry run (a dry run is where the person who is supposed to drive the gig CAN’T because of some reason)
In my case we got there at 2:20pm—they had closed for the afternoon at 2pm 🕑
I was happy about this on many reasons—2 were the fact I didn’t have to drive a 26 ft truck so many miles plus I got to go home early…
July 9th I had a double dry run.
The first truck I was supposed to take was taken the day before. And, when we got back after driving the two trucks they gave us—John & I; there were no more trucks going to Ft. Meyers,
So a dry run, then 2 dry runs (between the both of us)
I surprised the Chase driver Oriol and John by getting out quickly—I arrived at Ft. Meyers about the same time as he did—and before Oriol. We found out our GPSs took us different ways…
Then we got to go home early (me, again)
You would have thought that we wasted a lot of time on the dry runs—but the chat worked and Chuck called quickly so I could go with another truck.
On the way home Chuck called to find out about the second dry run—I explained and we kept going…
On the afternoon of the 9th I got paid for the 7th. I had already made and printed out a plan where the money was coming in and going.
It came off pretty well. Most of the money went where it was supposed to.
Now, waiting on more money from July 9th on the 11th (which is a weekend) So, on Monday.
I have another goal that I want to achieve—and I will.
